The beginning of summer is a great time to schedule your annual exam! If you’re like most people, the time between the last day of school and the end of summer can be an extremely busy period. Why not check one item off that ever-growing list and schedule your eye appointments for you and your family before the summer rush?
Having an annual comprehensive vision and ocular health examination is the best way to keep your visual system functioning at optimal levels and the best for preventative health care.
Most vision insurance offers coverage toward comprehensive eye health examinations annually, and many insurance plans with vision components roll over each year. Additionally, if you use a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to help cover the costs of your eye care, the tax benefits will only apply to this year (2015). If you don’t use these insurance benefits or pre-tax spending allocations, you could lose them at the end of the year. Don’t forget: Primary Eyecare for Kids can help you stay on top of any vision changes in your school-aged children, ages 5 and up!
