Dr. Michael Henderson, is a graduate of Colby College, in Waterville Maine, where he earned a degree in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr.Henderson possesses extensive experience in complete family eye care, regular and complex contact lens fittings, treatment & management of ocular disease, and surgical co-management.Dr. Henderson is the dry eye specialist at Primary Eyecare and has helped hundreds of patients who suffer from Dry-Eye Syndrome. He frequently consults with rheumatology patients to help alleviate the ocular symptoms of auto-immune disease. Before joining us at Primary Eyecare, Dr. Henderson worked at a large eye-care clinic in Boston, where he received extensive training under a cornea specialist surgeon.
Dr. Henderson and his wife were married in Afton, Va., in the fall of 2011. They have a 3 year old Springer Spaniel, Clive, and in their free time enjoy hiking, fishing, biking and most anything outdoors.
