"I have been going to Primary Eyecare for 5 years and have always been pleased with the care and attention I have received from the doctors and staff. The doctors are knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough in their exams. They take time to explain all procedures and prescriptions and make you feel like you are the only, and most important, patient they have. The staff is similarly friendly and helpful and they keep appointments moving on schedule. Finally, neither the doctors nor the staff are pushy when they offer new products or services and they genuinely seem to want to help you stretch your dollar, especially when it comes to ordering things like contacts or glasses. They even offer ship contacts to your home for free. I would recommend Primary Eyecare to anyone in need of an optometrist."

"I must say that I have never enjoyed going to the eye doctor so much! Your ENTIRE staff was so wonderful, so helpful, and had never ending smiles. Dr. Parker was a gem and extremely thorough! I know I can be extremely silly sometimes but your staff played right along with me and that was the best! I try to be happy at all times and your staff was a complete delight to hang out with yesterday. I will be highly recommending you to all that I know. I have found my permanent eye care facility. I still think I should get a free pair of Jimmy Choo shoes to go with my glasses. That is my only complaint! Ha ha! Take care and God Bless!

"I have only great things to say about Primary Eyecare! In my opinion, they are the best in town. After using a number of other eyecare professionals, we decided to try Primary Eyecare after seeing them listed as "Best in Charlottesville" by the Daily Progress. Now my entire family goes there for eye exams, glasses, contacts, sunglasses, etc. In fact, a couple years ago I developed a nasty eye infection right before a business trip. Primary Eyecare was able to schedule a last minute exam, diagnose the problem and prescribe eye drops right before I left town. Their staff is professional, knowledgable and very courteous. Their doctors will spend quality time with you, but not waste your time waiting. I give Primary Eyecare my highest recommendation."

"I have been going to Primary Eyecare for about 4 years and have been increasingly impressed as time has gone on. I spent the rest of the day after my last appointment raving to my mother about how great the service was. The staff was courteous and generous with their time in phone conversations leading up to the appointment. And on the day of the appointment I was seen right away and treated very warmly by the staff, who were especially accommodating to the fact that I had my infant child along. I appreciate their effort to provide personal service by getting to know the customer. The transitions between care providers was seamless and I am impressed with how they use a computer system and face to face conversation to keep everyone, including the customer, on the same page. The office is clean and in a good location. I highly recommend Primary Eyecare to anyone in the Charlottesville area. "

"I had a great experience at Primary Eyecare Associates. Their staff was very nice and both doctors I saw were great. The contact lens technicians were very patient with me and really worked hard to help me find the right type of lenses. They gave me plenty of trial lenses and free samples of solution. In the past I have had trouble with eye doctors not wanting to give out the contact lens prescription, but they were more than happy to release mine so that I could shop around for the best price. They also carry a lot of really nice eyeglass frames!"

"I've gone to Primary Eyecare for my last two eye exams and eyeglass purchases and will continue to rely on them for these services. The staff is very helpful and professional and they have a good selection of frames. My most recent exam included retinal photographs, and Dr. Hempelmann did an excellent job of explaining features related to a condition that had been treated with laser surgery some 25 years ago. It was certainly the most thorough and informative eye exam I've had anywhere."

The testing sequence was thorough, not at all cursory. I had several questions, and all of them were attended to in a straight-forward manner. I had seen another eye doctor regarding this and I must say that Dr. Rosado-Martin was the only one that seemed to want to correct it and showed real concern over the condition of my eyes. "I want to commend you for having such a well-run operation. Your office is so professional and efficient. I use these terms because while I was in and out in short order there was no feeling of being rushed. I actually showed up about 40 minutes early for my appointment so I was expecting to get in a good bit of reading. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I was called back in about 10 minutes. During this time I've had the opportunity to be served by many of your staff: Dr. Hempelmann, Anna, Jessica, Sophia, and Kathryn. From the receptionist, to the young man who started the exam, to all of the folks listed above, without exception they were all so helpful, professional and pleasant! In purchasing the glasses, Kathryn has been my primary contact. I must say she has been absolutely wonderful! She has done such a fantastic job of insuring all of my concerns and questions have been addressed. From patiently and pleasantly helping me find the right frames and lenses, to helping me understand the insurance, to helping me actually save some money by not using the insurance to buy my sunglasses, to researching what was needed to get them adjusted properly, she has been a tremendous blessing! It is obvious she is sincerely concerned with seeing that I get the glasses I need to serve me well. Once again, I commend you and your staff for making this experience such a pleasant one."
