Charlottesville Police Dept.- Our Gratitude for a Mission Accomplished
Often police and other law enforcement officers are cast in a negative light, but I want to recognize a job well done. Both the City of Charlottesville and County of Albemarle Police Departments deserve our thanks and gratitude. Detective H. and other city and county officers were involved in the investigation and arrest of a thief that stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from our locations over multiple thefts.
Once interrogated, the suspect pled guilty to the thefts (which is wise to do when all episodes were documented on video surveillance!) Due to the fact that the thief has a history of shoplifting from Virginia opticals, he is currently being held in jail awaiting felony sentencing.
The swift and skilled work of the officers and detectives are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your excellent work. You are Charlottesville’s finest.
